Obsessively Yours by Jamie Applegate Hunter

4.5/5 ⭐️
3.5/5 🌶️

This book devastated me in the best way. Jamie Applegate Hunter weaves a beautifully dark, emotionally charged story with a heroine who stands on her own two feet and a hero who is the very definition of “touch her and die.” The FMC’s strength, resilience, and refusal to be defined by the world around her made me root for her from page one. And the MMC? The way he loved her—fierce, quiet, and unwavering—made my heart ache.

The twist with the twin sister being announced as his mate? Absolutely gutting. Watching them grow up under the shadow of a bond neither of them wanted, all while knowing exactly where his heart truly belonged, had me flipping pages like my life depended on it. I felt that ache, that injustice, that longing. But what made this book unforgettable was how the MMC defied fate, tradition, and every expectation just to choose love—for her.

This wasn’t just a romance. It was devotion, rebellion, and destiny all tangled into one gripping, beautifully written story.

*Thank you to the author for the eARC.*

Just as delightfully sweet and unhinged as the first!

I’ve been waiting for this book for sk long! The first book in the series was great but this one was amazing… maybe I liked it since I’m a twin lol , but I appreciated the theme of having to be compared and compete with yuu ok r town your whole life. But loved the relationship and I liked the setting more seeing all of violet’s friends and having her have a job and a committee and seeing Roman have a hobby so cute! The one thing I’m still a little confused on is the magic system.. also I thought royal mates also get familiar….? But maybe I’m wiring overall great book can’t wait for next one!!!

I literally cannot get a enough of what Jamie writes. I was OBSESSED with Roman just like he was with Violet. I really enjoyed  getting to know them through the years and how their relationship kept evolving. The chemistry and banter between the two is one of my favorite things .. I couldn’t stop giggling and blushing, but my other favorite part was the friendships they all had formed. Seeing the different connections they had with each other especially Slayton and Roman had me laughing. I need book #3 like now - I can’t wait!
