I am super happy to have knocked another trilogy off my TBR list! I really really loved this trilogy. A solid dystopian. What made this trilogy was the romance! Aria and Perry were so perfect together and the way their love story progressed was amazing!
***spoilers***
What a conclusion! Definitely a satisfying one.
I'm so happy Veronica Rossi kept our three main characters alive and well (especially Roar!). The final book in this series really was a crazy ride that had me excitedly rooting for Perry and Aria to get the Tides to the still blue. We had the enemies, Sable and Hess, who tried their best to stop that from happening- but didn't succeed of course. Our heroes are too brilliant to be stopped by them ^.^
Damn. I'm going to miss this series so much! I admit, I teared up towards the end of this book. I love the main characters here so much and, well, we don't get another book but at least they got a happy ending❤️❤️

4.0 to 4.5 stars for the final book in this series. I am so glad that I finally made these books a priority to read, I just fell right into the story line and found them all so easy to read and follow along.

So with the way that book #2 ended, I was just hoping that what happened to Liv was just NOT REAL. I felt horrible for Roar and couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that he wasn't going to get his HEA and for the first part of this book, I just kept hoping that Liv would appear somehow somewhere.
The struggle that has been building bewteen the different tribes/dwellers all comes to head for basically the entire book. It is not stop, and I just loved this book.

The End of an Amazing Trilogy
The end is finally here and I can’t believe it’s over. I fell in love Aria and Perry, Roar, Cinder and a handful of others. I’ve shed more than a few tears during this trilogy along with laughter and happiness. While some didn’t get the ending I wanted, I feel as though that it was what had to happen, “Sometimes there can be victory without sacrifice”.
It was a bit touch and go for me during this book, I honestly had no idea what was going to happen and what the outcome would be.
I think the ending was great I just would have loved an epilogue or something to show everyone’s future but it still left me with a smile on my face 😊

This last instalment had no business making me cry (and LAUGH!) the way it did. Too many emotional scars that both Perry and I are going to have to learn to get over.
I tried my best to finish this on New Years Eve, but my family distracted me. I’m going to cheat and put the “Date Finished” as 31st December, even though I finished it today...
Because I am in the new year spirit, I am going to write a list of the things I want for the characters in this book:
1. I hope Perry learns to heal from the death of most of the people he held close to his heart
2. I hope Roar finds another Epic Love, another girl who will not make him forget Liv, but help him move on from her
3. I hope Loran and Aria become that super cool father-daughter duo that scare the crap out of everyone
4. I hope Willow never forgets Cinder
5. I hope Perry and Aria name their first child Cinder. Or Reef. Or Liv. Or Gren. Or Lumina. Not Vale or Sable, though
6. I truly, deeply hope that Brooke and Soren get together
7. I hope for more hilarious bromantic moments between Roar and Perry
8. Number seven except with Soren
9. I hope the Six heal from their loss and still make fun of Straggler
10. I hope the Tides survive in the Still Blue
11. Oh, my God, how could I forget? Number seven, except Aria and Roar making fun of Perry about the seaweed incident.
I can’t wait to read this series again. What a rollercoaster ride. What a journey. What a family.

Guess what?? I ACTUALLY finished it this time! (Before I accidentally clicked on that I finished it when I really hadn't and it was a disaster.)
ANYWHO. This trilogy was amazing. While the first book is still my favorite by far, the books really build off each other and deal with consequences in realistic ways. Like, there were BIG consequences that I was like, "surely this will work out because it's a book I mean--" and then it didn't! And I was like "wow okay." My favorite part of this book in particular was probably Soren, honestly. I loved the addition of characters as the books went on, but him especially. I loved the teamwork aspect that was utilized during the middle of the story.
The only thing I didn't like about this book was the idea of other tribes--we know the Tides and Horns made it to the Still Blue, but what about everyone else??? I wanted the world built just a tiny bit more.
Aria and Perry are real MVPs, and I'm going to miss them. <3 I can't wait to read Veronica Rossi's other duology and whatever else she ends up putting out.

4.5/5

Excellent series. I love that Aria is strong and capable on her own, as is Perry, but that together they complement each other. I love that there is no love triangle. I love that it's not riddled with cursing. I love the entire premise. Quite imaginative. I do have a couple complaints. First, the teenage sex (mild scenes, but still). Although, in their defense, it wasn't totally clear if marriage was even a thing in this world. And they were obviously committed to each other and "married" in spirit if nothing else. And the ending. Don't get me wrong, the ending was very satisfying, but the rest of the story was SO intense that I never managed to relax. I kept waiting for something bad to happen again. And while all three books were building up to this one moment, it felt slightly rushed. Like there wasn't enough time to savor it. Also, I wish there was more closure for one loss near the end.
Still, totally worth the 5 stars. Excellent and intriguing. Oh! And there's a minor character named Clara. The author has good taste. (Aria and Clara are my daughters names)

A perfect ending to a favorite series. I'm going to miss getting to spend time living in this world with these characters.
