This is easily the best of the trilogy.

There were good things and bad things about this book, both plot and writing style but honestly I really enjoyed reading it. It took me just over a year to finish Siege and Storm but only a couple of days to read this.
I don't really have any strong feelings about how I wanted this story to go as I liked it quite casually and was just happy to see how the story unfolded.

I don't think I'll ever understand "I am become blade" but at least Nikolai Lantsov exists.

Almost gave this 5 stars because Nikolai.
Ultimately, this is a good and satisfying book but not like, SPECTACULAR. It has spectacular moments for sure, but on the whole it falls more into the category of "I liked this, I'll be thinking about it for a while after this, and maybe one day I'll read it again," but it won't be one of my top 10 books of all time.
I was a little spoiled on the ending (my own fault), but the journey to get there was interesting. I'll admit it's probably not the ending I wanted, but it's the one that needed to happen. It makes sense logically, but I don't really know how I FEEL about it.
Anyway now I can read King of Scars and I'm very excited!!

I have no idea why people don’t love this series. Mind you I haven’t read six of crows yet, but I fell in love with the characters in this book. In the first two books, I wasn’t as attached, but I fell hopelessly in love with the characters and Mal’s sacrifice at the end of this book. The epilogue had me weeping. I just wish once again we had more in love moments between Mal and Alina. That being said, I love the twist that he was the third amplifier.
