I should have read this before Half-Blood. I knew it was the prequel but some series have prequels that spoil the sequels but it turns out Daimon isn't one of those prequels. You actually have to read this before Half-Blood to better understand although starting with the first book right away is still okay. Overall, Daimon was an interesting read and introduces Alex's fiery fighting spirit and the not-so-bright world she lives in well.

I tend to not be a huge fan of prequel novellas, but I adored this! Even with how short it is, it did a great job explaining the basics of this fantasy world and getting me excited for the main story.

Freaking awesome!
I love love loved it and the fact that it was only 67 pages
was even better! :D it felt like a longer read but NOT in
a bad way. I can't wait to get started on "Half Blood"
and I have a feeling that I will love the first book.
also I love that the prequel/novella was available
in paperback! eBooks and me don't really go well together.
publishers should start making novellas available in paperback.

Seriously?! Unfortunately I read Half-Blood before this prequel and I find this novella unnecessary, you can still know Alex's story before she go back to Covenant even without reading this book. It just have more little details that doesn't really add anything to the series

I wasn’t a fan of this book. It is the first book that I have read in the series and I am left with so much questions. I have no idea what is going on. Plus I tend to enjoy heroines that have powers and/or fighting abilities. It left me frustrated just reading about a person running scared for the latter part of the book. No thrill, no excitement
