It’s been a while since I started this series (we’re talking an embarrassing number of years) so I’m starting again! I remember I really enjoyed it the first time and when I saw there was a 0.5 I decided this was the perfect place to start.
I haven’t read many of Jennifer Armentrouts books but I’m constantly seeing them on my IG feed so I’m becoming part of the hype. This series seems like a good one to start with so I’m excited to get started.
This one was a great introduction to what will be the series ahead, and we meet Alex and the world of half bloods, daimons, hematoi and the covenant. It was a fab beginning and prequel and really set me up perfectly for launching into the subsequent books and I’m heading straight to Half Blood as soon as the library has the book available!

3⭐️. prequel to the covenant series by JLA, I enjoyed this and am excited to learn more but I also wasn’t like OMG LOVE!!! so here we are. I’ll keep us posted on the book itself 😂

I’m glad I read this last in the covenant series(even though I didn’t know it existed before book 1) bc this was my least favorite of the bunch. Alex was not the strong, sassy, badass fmc that Igrew to love - yet she was immediately in book 1?? Like, yes she did kick ass on the beach but MY Alex wouldn’t have listened to/tolerated a whiny Matt-like boy.
SO if you read this first and are feeling eh about continuing…READ HALF BLOOD. Don’t let this one sway you away from the Covenant series.

What a promising series this is! I'm sure it will kick butt and i can't wait to read the next one. It reminds me a bit of Vampire Academy but that's not particularly a bad thing. Awesome world and characters! And now we wait....
