Never been the biggest fan of prequels... but for sure it got me intruged enough to start book #1 so it must have been good right? :PP + JLA's writing is always a gold mine.

The dialogue between characters got a little cringey at times but the story was fine. I honestly think this should have been part of the first book instead of a prequel novella.

I should have read this before Half-Blood. I knew it was the prequel but some series have prequels that spoil the sequels but it turns out Daimon isn't one of those prequels. You actually have to read this before Half-Blood to better understand although starting with the first book right away is still okay. Overall, Daimon was an interesting read and introduces Alex's fiery fighting spirit and the not-so-bright world she lives in well.
