This is the first time I've read a Covenant book so I'm glad I have some reference before I start on Half Blood which I'm starting next.
My thoughts...Ms. Armentrout is great at characterization and creating lovable, realistic, and bad ass characters. She is great at creating atmosphere I was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for the Daimon attack I knew was inevitable. Also she did a great job of making the Daimon's evil and beings that just follow their instinct to cause pain and suffering and then eating what they played with.....I can't wait to read Half Blood which I have no doubt will be an incredible read and an adventure that will keep me riveted.

I love almost everything JLA writes. Her quick paced, romance filled books are very addicting. I think I read this in half an hour, and of course I loved it. However, I gave it only three stars, because it was to short to be really good, and mostly a description of Alex being hunted by Daimons. I missed Aidan in this book, but still, it was fun and thrilling to be back in Alex' head.

I definitely should have read this novella before I started this entire god damn series. I'm mad at myself for not doing that exact thing. WHY? Because this definitely made me fall even more in love with Alex. She was such a little rebel bad ass kid and sassy as fuck. I don't really know how else to explain my ever growing love for her character and even though I've read like 3 of the books in this series I still ended up hoping, praying, and wishing that ALEX WOULD SURVIVE ALL OF THIS! Yeah, that's how good this novella was guys.
