I read "Daimon" by Jennifer L. Armentrout in June of 2012 because I liked the cover and it was on my daughter's bookshelf in her room. Rating it very good on my own book list, I intend to read the rest of the series (this is the prequel)as well as some other titles under Jennifer Armentrout such as "Cursed" which my daughter tells me that once you pick it up, you can't put it down.
Wow! I can't believe a prequel novella excited me this much! I smell a winner, and I can't wait to get my hands on half-blood!
This is a prequel novella from the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I loved it. In this short story we learn more about Alex’s mother, the terror Alex had to go through before the first chapter of Half-Blood, some events she went through before her world is turned upside down, and how her character was shaped. She is a total badass. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I thought this was a really good start to the series. It definitely left me wanting more!!! I just always love this author's writing style.
Good to get the back story before diving in to Half-Blood, but I was not "captivated" by it by a long shot. When I started reading the first two chapters of Half-Blood, however - I was almost instantly interested, and I guess it helped getting introduced into Alex's world with this prequel.
I love to read the prequels for these series so that I know what is going on when I get to the first book. I can't wait to start this series.
DAIMON explaines the events that lead to HALF BLOOD and I found it pretty helpful and tearful too.
I enjoyed it, it's a fun bonus read.
