It has been some years since my last reading of The Silver Chair, and I am certain that my enjoyment of the story has only grown with age. Many times I found myself deeply moved and close to tears.

Thanks to the 1990 BBC movie version of the book that I watched as a child, visualizing the landscape through both imagination and memory was a pleasant experience—almost like reopening an old gift that one had nearly forgotten, yet has not aged.

Dear Lewis. What gifts he has given us in these Narnian tales!

One of the better installments in the series so far. I like Jill, Puddleglum, and the quest plot.

This read like a classical fairy tale and I really enjoyed it because of it.

A lot I found quite boring, another traipse across Narnia.

Hate how Eustace is suddenly known by surname too, same happened with Lucy and Edmund between TLTWATW and PC, it bugged me then as well.

The discovery of Rilian, suddenly knowing who he was and killing the witch, were just way too fast, basically one page.

Only the last 50 pages or so I found relatively more enjoyable.

The more the books go on, the more I can see Aslan is heavily influenced by Christianity/religious texts.

Overall it was ok, Puddleglum was funny in is how glass half empty kind of way and some of the adventure had its thrilling parts, but it was still lacking for me.
