I don't think I've ever been this angry/frustrated with a character from a book before. I was frustrated with America, angry with Maxon and for Aspen...just go away please. I just hope everything turns out right in The One.

The beginning was very slow but it got better after the Halloween fiasco. I’m starting to lose interest since it’s very clear what’s going to happen with the rebel plot line and since the selection isn’t really a competition anymore since it’s clear Maxon is going to pick America but I kind of like the blossoming romance between them even though America was really annoying in this book so I’ll give it a 2.5/5

Definitely the weakest in the trilogy. Still lots of fun but the back and forth is slightly exhausting. Like girl… the perfect man is right there. Just accept it.

America mě tu tedy příšerně štvala, Aspen opět nic moc a dokonce i Maxon si lehce klesl. A když to shrnu?

Rereading 2023: Teď bych to klidně snížila i k těm třem. A manipulativního Aspena nemůžu vystát čím dál víc.

Contains very minimal spoilers? Maybe? Idk.

This book was no where near as good as the first, and there was once or twice where I was ready to give up. America switching back and forth between Maxon and Aspen every two pages was almost unbearable. But the ending saved it all. There was finally some real character development and interesting twists, instead of just this back and forth nonsense. Thank God for the ending.
