Fall With Me - ARC Review

A lot was going on in this book, my mind was all over the place. I loved it nonetheless.
I am forever in my small town, cowboy era. That will never change.

I fell in love with Brooke Montgomery's writing in "Here with me" and am excited to read more.

Landen and Ellie's story was a rollercoaster.

Tucker's part broke me. I feel so bad for him.

I definitely recommend this book.

Thank you for sharing this book with me.

Tropes:

I’m really not sure how to feel about this book. I was so excited for this one out of the series so far but sadly I just felt the execution of the storyline was just off and didn’t enjoy where it went. The first 50% dragged with it taking way too much time to get the whole premise of the story which was the amnesia plot line and also happened in the last book.

Then the second half their relationship just felt way too rushed, they jumped into loving each other not really seeing this part of their relationship develop, we were just expected that Ellie fell in love with Landen straight away after her accident. Then the end conflict just wrapped up way too quickly that I was like how do I only have an hour left and still feel so unfinished. Also, we just brushed over the fact that she lied to everyone about who she was and they were worried about she’d react to them was frustrating.

Don’t get me wrong Brooke’s writing is great and I did fly through this one but sadly was not for me and it seems like the next two the final twin’s brothers basically just swap ex girlfriends seems too messy for me. Overall really sad with how I feel about this one as I really wanted to love it.

Landen and Ellie

My favorite series

I am obsessed with this series. The plot is incredible and you can tell the author does her research. Its not super spicy but spicy enough that with all the tension flying around you breathe a sigh of relief when they connect. This story was beautiful. Landon was a dream boat and Ellie redeemed herself. I would have liked to have seen Angela get a little roughed up, but I guess its ok she made it out mostly unscathed.

I really like this series and will be so sad when this series is over. Reading the Sugarland Creek series has been a delight and every time I pick up on of the books, I feel like I'm coming home.

Landen and Ellies story were a whirlwind. My heart ached for Landen for the first bit but overall, the insta-attraction between the two after Ellie's accident was hilarious and well earned.

The pacing here was great, Ellie has a sharp tongue and doesn't miss a beat and Landen likewise takes it in stride. You get a glimpse of all of our other friends here at Sugarland Creek, I cannot wait for the next one.

I will say, I wish the two girls, who caused the whole debacle were made a spectacle of. I wanted more of their demise. It was briefly touched on to close that loop, but given the severity I would have liked a bit more on it... But I am a petty Polly and like to see people get what they deserve, so there's that.

“If you keep being mean to me, I’m gonna end up fallin’ in love with you.”

Fall With Me is book three in the Sugarland Creek series. This is Ellie and Landen's story. Fall With Me could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the series so you can get to know the characters.

Ellie is a barrel racer and Landen has been pining for her for a long time. The animosity she has for Landen has reasons unknown to him and in my opinion seems silly. Ellie did frustrate me with the anger she feels for him, given the reasons weren't there. Landen is such a golden retriever, and you can't help not to like him. Something happens to Ellie and the relationship between the two shifts.

Overall, the story was nice, and the characters were well developed. Released May 29, 2024, give this a read and give the series a chance! Thank you to Love Notes PR, I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
