And no, I did not like the heroine Ellie in the beginning. I only really started liking her after her accident. I know, I know, but she was really unkind to Landen and he was nothing but sweet with her even when teasing her.
Landen who’s been wracking his brain trying to figure out why Ellie hates him is determined to make her like him. After years of trying he finally gives up and moves on. Then Ellie is involved in an accident while barrel racing and Landen and Noah are with her in hospital waiting for the arrival of her parents.
When Ellie wakes up, she doesn’t recognise Landen, but is taken in with him and asks him to stay with her until her parents arrive.
After her release from hospital, Ellie goes back to the ranch to bond with her horse Ranger and reassure him that she is getting better and they’ll be back training together soon. While visiting her horse, she’s constantly in Landen’s orbit and the two gets to know each other again, as if they’ve just met.
Their story is one of pining and misjudgement. Ellie only realises after her accident that she never really saw the truth to her reason for disliking Landen but now that she’s gotten to know him, she’s going to do everything she can to make sure that they stay together.

I had been desperate to get my hands on Landon and Ellie’s story and Brooke did not disappoint!
I’ve never read the amnesia trope before but I feel like Brooke nailed it! I loved that she only forgot Landon and the reasons why she didn’t like him because even that looked like another way to wind him up!
Landon is adorable, so persistent and was never deterred by Ellie’s growly attitude toward him! I loved that he obviously loved pushing her buttons whilst also being sweet towards her and ignoring her obvious dislike towards him!
Ellie was such a likeable character, she hid her little secret so well!! As did Brooke because she always manages to hide a little suspenseful twist in her books! I loved that Ellie was kind to everyone but Landon only causing him more confusion because he couldn’t figure out what he’d done!!
I love the Sugarland Creek Series and this one may have been my favourite so far!! Which is hard because Tripp was amazing, but Landon was just the sweetest cinnamon roll man!

I really enjoyed this series until this book. I hate the fact that her cousin still got this huge payout! She shouldn't have given over the money or at least a small portion of it.

Really good. It had me hooked from the beginning. I thought it was kinda cute how even after four years, Landen never gave up on the pull he felt. And when he did sort of try, he knew it wasn’t right. Just super cute.
