I think this might be my favorite one in the series yet! 😍 Landon and Ellie’s story was tragic and beautiful all at the same time. This whole book I was rooting for them and for it to work out in the end despite everything against them. I love that she finally realized how horrible her cousin was and that she stood up to her after getting her memory back. Ellie deserves the world, she is a badass and Landon was made for her. I can’t wait for the rest of the series, Brooke’s writing is captivating and perfect!

*Didn’t know I would love the amnesia trope as much as I did but now I need more of it 😭

Diving back into Sugarland Creek with Landen and Ellie was so much fun. The Hollis family has some of the best banter around and I love their Sunday get togethers. The scrapbooking theme throughout the series is my favorite.

I wasn’t entirely sure where the story was going to go with the amnesia trope, but I feel like it was written in a way that didn’t feel rushed or to drawn out. It incorporated the twists and turns, while still being believable.

I do recommend checking the TW before diving in, but I feel like all content was written with care. It does have a warning before the prologue to continue with caution OR you have the option to skip reading it. If you choose to skip the prologue, the story will still make sense and you’ll get the gist of what happened throughout the story.

Overall, the story has a touch of mystery thrown in but still has a fun and flirty romance. It’s fast paced, filled with amazing banter, and spice! If you’re a fan of a small town/grumpy x sunshine (where she’s the grump)/cowboy romance, then this book is for you!

I loved my return to Sugarland Creek. Landen and Ellie take us on a journey from hate to love.

Landon is easy to love, and Ellie is a spitfire with sass for days. The banter and chemistry are well written. I love the small town element and the side characters it brings. There is some suspense that fell a little flat for me, but otherwise a great story and I look forward to more.
