there were some really nice moments in this romance novel, but there were also some decidedly odd parts. and the fact that the protagonists are 22 and 35 is first on that list lol.

quite strange scene in the bath. weird that she overreacts so much to the reveal that he owns the bar. beau is very unnecessarily mean in the way he tells bailey he wants to make the relationship real. and all bailey needed to do to end the prejudice of the small town was give them a stern talking to?

but also - nice moments by the river, always love when the protagonist has a girl gang, love a waking up from nightmare scene (rhys im looking at you). and i did need to finish this series! although i think it let down the rest of the series tbh.

currently fighting the urge to start my throne of glass reread. but unfortunately i may succumb.

This was different then what I thought it would be. Beau and Bailey’s relationship was shown to be more physical but that’s not always a bad thing. I think some people show their feelings through actions better than expressing them verbally through words and I feel like Bailey and Beau do that well and therefore mesh well together. I think most of the Eaton family talk through their thoughts and feelings and Beau is different with that. He is quiet and reserved and dealing with a lot of trauma from the army. I feel like Bailey is also similar and therefore they both have a mutual understanding of one another that leaves the door open for more to be explored.
