bookish_abena's review
This book is a compilation of short stories from writers across Africa. The book takes the reader on a journey of loss, family, friendship, death and sexual awakening.
I like that the book took me to so many places – different backgrounds. It was relatable as some of the themes explored in the book were issues I dealt with growing up. It’s quite easy to put your feet in the shoes of the characters and journey with them.
My recent search for books for Young Adults for the Project Lit Ghana led me to this discovery. I realize that there are a few books by African authors written for young adults. Young African adult voices need to be represented
