The first book of Colleen Hoover's I can say that didn't resonate with me. The interesting writing of hers is still there and good moments can be found scattered throughout but it just felt very "meh". I felt more emotional in the first and last chapters with her old ex boyfriend than I did through the majority of the book. I guess the romance between Auburn and Owen just didn't interest me like some of Colleen's previous couples. Overall, this book was decent but by no means my favorite Coho.

OMG, just such a sweet story. I finished this book in not even a day. A story about fate, growth, love, lies, and honesty. I loved in the end that the story came full circle and you finally figured out how Owen knew Auburn. I didn’t think this book was as cliche or predictable as some other books of CoHo’s, which made me love it even more.

I got mixed feelings towards the third quarter of the book. I wish I could have known more before I had these feelings like disgust and anger. They faded when I knew the story completely but the angst within did not disappear. All in all great story line, not too predictive which I find extremely good quality of a writing.
Took me a year to finish this but to be honest I forgot about it up until the last couple of weeks.

Overall a good story but it did lost points for having a bit of instalove and because I guessed the resolution to the plot.

#5 A book with a title beginning with the 1st letter of your name (Cindy :3)
I did really like how Emory defended Auburn from Trey, she was badass and also relevant. I was starting to wonder if her only purpose plot-wise was to get Owen and Auburn together, a bit sad we didn't get to see more of her and Auburn become friends though.
In general I liked this book because I liked Auburn, she is really easy to sympathize with from the very beginning. When she recognized that the reason Lydia was dismissing her feelings was because she was 15, I really connected with her. I also felt that for the most part her actions were very logically reasoned, which I appreciated.
Hmm, if only Hoover had given a bit more closure on what happens afterwards. Do they go through with charging Trey with assault anyway now that the custody papers have been signed? Does Auburn go back to college? Does AJ have a longer name? Is Owen-cat happy? Do they move in together eventually? Dammit so many questions.

Dear God though, Owen "knowing" stuff about Auburn for the first few chapters was so annoying. No, you cannot know how people are after spending a few hours with them. Mostly it frustrated me that as a reader I was just supposed to accept these observations as facts. I kept expecting Hoover to have something in there about how infatuation with the idea of someone, is different than loving their actual strengths/flaws but no. Similarly, Owen also he just knows that Auburn's a good mother after watching her with AJ for like 5 minutes? I loved this book. I loved the connection between Owen and Auburn. Because I loved their connection so much, I thought the sex scenes were lack luster. I also thought the resolution was a little fast.
Was an easy read and had a few thing that I didn’t see coming. I liked how they were connected in the end!
Not my favourite Colleen Hoover book but Loved it the same.
