I'm a little sad there wasn't more resolution at the end with him telling her that he knew her before.

This was a cute, fast read.

Really enjoyed this book. Took a bit to get going, but once it did, I was hooked!
emotional sad fast-paced

i liked it a lot but there were a lot of similarities with this one and reminders of him and ugly love. the relationship was obviously really rushed but i still liked the main characters together. definitely still enjoyed it

Loved this one!

J’ai beaucoup aimé ce livre. Ça faisait un petit moment que je n’avais pas lu de romance. Cette romance est belle, la relation entre Auburn et Owen est touchante, simple et douce.

Auburn Reed returns to Texas to have a closer relationship with her son, whose father tragically passed away. Her son is now in the custody of her late boyfriend's mother and she is looking to change that. As a last-ditch effort for some extra cash, Auburn gets a part-time job with Owen, an artist. There is this mysterious plotline about how Owen knew Auburn before they met officially, but that plotline was lacking for me. The suspense was held for so long, and the truth didn't come out until the very end. I would have loved to see Auburn's reaction to all of this.

The romance between Auburn and Owen was so underwhelming. There was hardly any development and I didn't really understand the chemistry or relationship between them. It seemed like just a coincidence that they were around each other and there was no emotion between them. The characters were so surface level and their problems were so pathetic.

Now that I am thinking about it, the plotline was severely underwhelming too. Not much happened throughout this book other than Auburn deciding between two men (neither of whom I was rooting for.) This book was completely forgettable to me.
