I really enjoy Hoover's writing style and the depth of her characters. In Confess (and with other characters in Hoover books), Auburn and Owen are both dealing with serious issues that pull at your heart strings. The seriousness of the issues in her books don't make it more difficult to read though- in fact, they usually draw me in more. This is definitely the case with Confess. I felt so connected to Auburn that I couldn't wait to see what was in store for her.

I really enjoyed the plot, but found some of the writing a bit cheesy and cliché.
