A great deal of my learning and unlearning as an ABAR educator and coach has been through the content Britt Hawthorne has shared. I provide DEI professional development for many educators who are also parents. Just doing this work in the classroom is not enough. It also has to be happening with children outside of school so that we normalize talking about race. This book is a practical guide with personal examples and activities for children of all ages to take anti-racist actions.

This is a great resource not only for people with kids, but those involved in their lives to help them learn how to be antiracists and good stewards of their communities. It gives background on issues, practical practices you can implement, and good conversation starters for varying age groups. I'll come back to this over the years.
