well written likable characters but i am annoyed by books that are just “rich people have feelings too”

This was a very light fluffy read, where not a whole lot happens, but it was oddly compelling and I found myself happily lapping it up this weekend.

very quick read with a surprising amount of plot twists that also inadvertently provided restaurant recommendations in brooklyn heights- what more could a girl want, really

A perfect read if you want to lull your brain to sleep (which was okay for me, I always read it right before bed time). If you're looking for something interesting, however, pick another book. Literally nothing happens here in 300 pages, the characters are either unlikeable or dull, and I just don't feel like feeling bad for the one percenters when there's so much actual misery in the world.
Also, I wonder, would this book even have been published if the author wasn't an executive at Alfred A. Knopf?

Almost dnfd this one, but I stuck it out, and it wasn't too bad.

Loved it. All the characters are so relatably flawed, and the portrayal of family dynamics was on point. Overall an excellent representation of show don’t tell, I loved it from start to finish.
