This book really works and I devoured it. I found the story engaging and I enjoyed shifting between the three point-of-view characters. Some elements of the book (brands cited and the like) may seem dated in years to come. But the overall theme of coming to terms with substantial wealth and its impact, internally and externally, is likely to remain relevant for a very long time (as it is doubtful the US will actually become a socialist country, regardless of the inaccurate accusations by some that we are already there).

This was a cute read. It kind of reminds me of Kevin Kwan's Crazy Rich Asians. It wasn't as good as that book, but similar vibe. I thought the characters were interesting. I didn't find them super loveable, but there are great moments, and there's some really cringe behavior that kept me wanting to read like a train wreck. I think this was a really fun, easy summer novel.

In this book about class, racism, privilege, and wealth, there wasn’t a single character of color. I would say this is akin to what the Gilmore Girls or Friends guide to social status would be like.

If you like rich people drama, this book is for you. I found the characters were all shallow, spiteful, and deeply unlikable, which always hurts a book's chance with me. The plot was barely there with zero character growth. Overall, it was just ok.
