I kept giving it excuses because I was hoping it would get better but it just progressively kept getting worse.
A book has never destroyed me like this one did. I balled my eyes out. I listened to the audio book, and Joe Arden's performance was amazing. He always brings so much emotion into the things he does and this was by far the best he's done. I don't know how to go on living after reading this book.

So I went into this blind … worst mistake i made … Elena she didn’t deserve the pain and trauma she endured … she was so strong and fought so hard that in the end her father takes it away … Christian i wanna hug him and tell him it’s gonna be okay .. Caroline ugh that poor baby girl all she wanted was to have a family and have mister bunny with her for a hea …. I’ve re@d this book twice and still cry … I’ll never look at pancakes the same way again … I cry anytime i hear the audio of Christian and Caroline talking … Christian loved Elena so so much .. he tried his best to give her want he wanted to be loved and cared about … my heart breaks because i wanted them to get a hea but it didn’t happen and it’s broken my heart ..damnit I’m crying again while writing this .. i hope we get an alternate ending where they can have a hea … I love Elena , Christian and Caroline together .. please check the trigger warnings and don’t go in blind like i did because after i finished it the first time i cried for like 3 hours and it was worse than if he had been with me …

After finishing Under Your Scars I’m ridiculously glad I got to enjoy it in audio because Lee Daniel’s and Joe Arden killed (hehe) it. Lee has the most amazing way of capturing Elena’s personality perfectly. And of course Joe was the most amazing MMC. Under Your Scars was such a freaking dark and delicious roller coaster and also a mindf*ck. Masked stalker who kills my attackers? A rich business man who wants to do nothing than be with me? Gimme, gimme, gimme. I’m not sure what that says about me but this book is as just so freaking good. It’s dark (check those trigger warnings) but also the story is so compelling. The ending caught me by complete surprise, it’s been such a long time since I’ve been surprised. I binged this audio book and let me say my house has never been cleaner but also why are my bagels in my bathroom? This book is perfect for all my dark romance peeps, give it a listen you won’t be sorry!
