I really wanted to love this book but I am sorry. Even if the silencer didnt sexually assault her, I still couldn't get over the fact that he still forces her to do things.

This book pulled me in from the cover. The storyline was so compelling that I didn't want to stop reading it. The smut scenes were -chef's kiss- The bond between the two main characters was inspiring. He would do anything and everything for her. This is what dark dreams are made of. The ending was completely unexpected and gutted me. The audiobook made this story come to life in so many different ways. I highly recommend listening to this!

If you’ve ever fought your way through the dark and found someone to stand in the light with you, this one will hit deep.
So this is not a good book per se, but if you just want some fanfictiony, intense angst, this is the book to pick up. As a sucker for whump, this had some parts that really scratched that particular itch for me. On the other hand it had waaay too much smut for my personal taste, and the soap opera type plot twists were quite ridiculous at times. But I think the book achieved what it was trying to achieve.
I listened to the audiobook, and both narrators went above and beyond. Especially Lee Daniels was so committed to the role, he was perfectly unhinged!
