Super cute! Read this in one day after a very long and dark book so this was such a fast and fun read.

Another fun, feels-filled read from Lynn Painter, a name I am quickly learning to seek out and adore!!! Her books are so funny, too! I always have at least one huge guffaw while reading and I generally have to wipe away some tears, too. A perfect combo.

This was a total whiplash. In the beginning, I really really liked the concept and the characters. Then when the whole wedding objector schtick fell away and it was just Sophie and Max pretending not to be in love it was almost intolerable. They both suck, and Sophie feels like she was written by a man.

Also why would it end in a wedding? You have two characters who’ve been burned in the past and learn to love again, and being together without being married would feel like a much better homage to that, imo
