More secrets, more lies and more mystery. Ruthless Kings is just as addicting as book one in this series, Wicked Liars. It takes you deeper down the rabbit hole.

Jazz and Kingston’s relationship continues to be a rollercoaster. Their entire lives continue to be one crazy, wild ride. Kingston’s protective and caveman side is out in full force throughout the course of this book. He will stop at nothing to continue his mission and to find who attacked Jazz and to keep her safe.

I really love Jazz. She is a fighter, she may be in a new environment and grieving still, but she isn’t some weak little girl. Her strength is what makes her such a strong character. Kingston is hard to resist, too. Especially the more of his softer and protective side you get to see as this book progresses.

I LOVE their group of friends, too. Bentley, Reed and Ainsley. I loved that throughout this book there is more about their past that is brought to light and provides a lot of insight to this tight knit group.

If you are looking for a dark, bully romance this is one to check out, but make sure you read book 1 first!

After that cliffy in Wicked Liars (Windsor Academy #1) I was already to find some answers quick. Just when you think you know; we get thrown into a loop that will have your mind twisted. Jazz is determined to stay strong when it comes to herself and independence staying truth to herself regardless of the new world she is currently living in; however, the boys: Bentley, Reed, especially Kingston keeps testing her limits. Kingston is also still proving to his father that he is ready to do for more for him. Walls are gradually being broken down and they are taking risks that will either back fire and break them or go according to their plans. Trust is constantly being tested and the mind games is a trip. The suspense for more is at a all time high. I am ready for more!

So this is the kind of story I rage read and I’m stopping here because this plot seems way too much for the 18 yo characters.

Suddenly they are all BBFs and plotting against their parents and it’s too much drama that I’m just not invested enough in to continue.

Ruthless Kings is the second book in the Windsor Academy series, it cannot be read as a standalone, as it is a continuation of Jazz and Kingston’s dark romance, full of secrets and lies. Laura Lee’s writing pulls you in and leaves you wanting more!

After the cliff-hanger in Wicked Liars, Jazz doesn’t know who to trust. Everything is up in the air with her relationship with Kingston, her father and her friends, and she needs some time to process the events. Kingston is so unsure about how much to tell Jazz about their pasts and what he’s found out about their father’s business dealings, but realises that he needs her in his life for many reasons, to achieve his end goal of taking them down, but also because he’s fallen for her, hard. The minute Jazz sees that Kingston isn’t the real enemy, they begin to work together, with the help of Bentley and Reed, to uncover the truth about Jazz and King’s father’s and discover decades old secrets along the way, which none of them would have imagined.

Ruthless Kings held some of the answers I was left with from Wicked Liars, but still had enough suspense and guessing to get me ready for the finale in Fallen Heirs. I am so glad I waited and read this book just before my arc of Fallen Heirs because it made the most impact and I could read them back to back, meaning I was still fully immersed in the Windsor Academy world.

Kingston is such an alpha; he is desperate to find out the truth so he can save the ones he loves and get revenge for those he can’t. In Wicked Liars, I was unsure if I could trust him, but in this book, he proves he is all in, and will do anything for Jazz. Jazz is the missing piece of the boys’ puzzle to solving the mystery and taking down Jazz and King’s father’s, and I loved how they all worked as a team, in more ways than one… If you’ve read the book you know what I mean…

I was sceptical in book 1 about whether Kingston and Jazz worked, or if she would be better suited with one of the other characters who she also had some attraction to. But Jazz and Kingston’s chemistry skyrocketed in this book, as their relationship grew from hate to more, because they learnt to trust each other, and not just use each other to achieve a goal. I loved how their relationship developed into one of maturity rather than just revenge, and proved that King and Jazz are endgame, they just have a few more obstacles to get through before they can have their HEA, which will all be revealed in the finale Fallen Heirs next.

a sexy suspenseful addiction to this series

I still like Jazz and Kingston but I wish we got more information about the plot against Jazz and possibly her mother. At least now we know what a huge motive is money but there are still missing pieces to the murder mystery.
