Amazing, if you’ve never read a Colleen Hoover book this is where you start. A psychological thriller I couldn’t put down!

Kept me on my toes the whole time!!! Ending was unpredictable and shocking but a little abrupt. Wish more time was spent on the end

3.5 Stars. I still have scenes from this book flash in my mind occasionally, honestly I can hear a thriller soundtrack in my mind when I think of them. I loved how the book ends with no clear answer as to who is a victim and who is a villain. Personally I think this ending sums up perfectly all the questions which arise throughout the book. Although I know there is a bonus chapter out there to add some explanation to the ending I have been really debating if I want to change how the story ends. That being said, I hated the romance in the book - I didn’t feel any chemistry between the two characters and the whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. Both Lowen and Jeremy felt under developed, and their respective tragedies seem to be forgotten about too quickly. Honestly, my favourite character was Verity and I really think she carried the book. I liked that we got to read chapters from the manuscript at the same time as the main character - it made it feel as though I could talk to Lowen about the passage since we had read it ‘together’. This has made me more interested in the horror/thriller genre, and would be keen to try more of them in the future.
