One of the strangest books I've read in a while. I liked the graphic novel element; this is a unique memoir and an interesting read.

I really loved "Solutions and Other Problems." Some of the chapters made my heart hurt a little but just about every one had me laughing and thinking "yeah, I know that feeling." Some of my absolute favorite stories were "Neighbor Kid" and especially "Cat." If you like graphic novels and little humorous anecdotes, this is a must read.
funny, poignant, and inspiring. Allie has a way of storytelling that really catches hold of my heart and helps light up the way I view the world around me.
I like Allie Brosh a lot. Anything she does is always worth reading, and then re-reading, and then recommending, and then re-reading some more.
This is not a review, at least not a helpful one, but I wanted to share it with the world.

I love Hyperbole And A Half and have re-read it again and again. This one, though, was a let-down. I feel like over 80% of the stories didn't work. Most of the time because they were way too long; the funny bits get lost, and the experience becomes a bit cringey. 3 points still because I indeed was laughing tears at some points, and for the sad, emotional stories about Brosh's sister.

I have mixed reviews about this book. There were laugh-out-loud moments that were hilarious and it was the awkward kind of humour I love, but then other stories were just awkward and weird. During those I was just trying to get through the story. The drawings were amazing and I liked the graphic novel format that had more text and story, but the stories that didn’t land with me made it difficult for me to give this anything but a so-so. I’d recommend you checking it out for yourself. Here is the full Book Interrupted Podcast episode about it. Others loved it!
