Apparently
if I write
text
like this
it is poetry
who would have
thought?
If at least those texts were somewhat lyric or held some deeper meaning, but instead it's once again generic statements that belong on social media at best.

This book is as amazing as the others in this collection. It deals with heartbreaking subjects like grief and abuse in such a beautiful way that I’m honestly surprised I was able to see the pages I was sobbing so much. It also provides the reader with lessons in self love and teaches them to overcome demons and fight against those who are lowering your self esteem. This book also creates an incredible message of hope towards the end that honestly just felt like a massive hug from the author. Overall, the fast-paced poems and heartfelt messages make this book an impactful and quick read.

I will freely admit that I am not a poetry person. So it is unfair of me to rate this, but honestly most of these poems just didn't resonate with me. I gave it a 2 because there were a few poems I felt were beautifully worded about books and literature. But also, a lot of this didn't feel like poetry to me. I don't know the "rules" of poetry per se, but I didn't catch any sort of rhythm or rhyme, so it was really difficult for me to appreciate. I fully acknowledge this is reader error, rather than writer error, though.
