So lovely to read! I'm absolutely in love with Legend, I wish it wasn't a stand-alone but at the same time I'm glad it is. I wouldn't want a story that I loved to be dragged on.
Legend will be one of those books I read when I've got nothing to do and need a very healthy dose of sugary love.
Seriously this is such a sweet and spicy read <3

Legend is the sixth and final book in the Real series by Katy Evans. This book is a standalone story, so you do not need to have read the previous books in the series, though for full enjoyment I would recommend it. This was such a bittersweet read for me because while I was really enjoying it, I was also dreading it since I knew once it was over the series was over. It was a great finish though, and I really loved Maverick and Reese.

Maverick "The Avenger" Cage is determined to become a Legend in the Underground, but no one will give him the shot he needs. Guarding the secret of who he really is, Maverick comes across Reese, and she treats him like no one else ever has. As Mav trains, Reese helps him find someone willing to be his coach and Mav is that much closer to taking on the champ Remington "Riptide" Tate. But just as things between Mav and Reese are heating up, Mav finds out that Reese is also Remy's wife Brooke's cousin. But Mav is determined to win and be a legend and that includes getting his girl too.

I really loved Maverick and Reese together. They had sparks between the right from the start, but I was glad that things weren't rushed between them. They had a lot of sexual tension and their connection just continued to intensify as they spent more time together. I loved that Reese didn't judge Mav for his past or circumstances and that Mav didn't push Reese or give up on her. Each one had a lot that they were dealing with, and yet they were perfect together and for one another. They really helped one another just by being there for each other. The chemistry between these two was so strong, but I really loved the bond they had formed and seeing as things grew between them.

The one thing that I will say here though is that I felt like some things weren't as resolved as I would have liked. There was a situation with a guy that Reese had thought she wanted before she met Maverick and he was brought up a lot throughout this story. When he finally made his appearance, it was almost over before it started and it just felt like it had been used for drama throughout the story without ever really being dealt with. Maverick pretty much shut it down before Reese did anything, and Miles just disappeared. I also felt like with this being the last story in the series that an extended epilogue would have been nice. I wanted to see how things ended for everyone, and would have liked to have been given a glimpse into all of the HEAs from this series since there were some things that were unresolved overall. I wanted to know more about what happened for Kenna and Pandora, and I am still upset that we didn't get a book for Riley! I have to admit I have been holding out hope since the beginning that we would get his story, so it would have been nice to see what happened for him, especially since Remy was retiring here. I just felt like there was so much that I still had questions about.

But even with those criticisms, I really enjoyed this story a lot. It was great to get to know Reese and Maverick, and I loved how much Brooke and Remy were around for this book. Racer absolutely stole the show, and I don't think that there has ever been a cuter kid in a book I have read than him! He was so adorable and I couldn't get enough of him. I hope Katy Evans might someday write his story, because I am absolutely dying to see him again! Fans of this series will enjoy Legend, and if you are new to this series this one is easy to read without having read any of the previous books. I know I will read this series again in the future as I really love the characters and I am just not ready to let them go. But I am also really excited to see what else Katy has in store for readers in the future and look forward to reading more from her.

I came to the REAL series a little late, half of it was already out, but ultimately that wasn't important because from the moment I started reading Real, I instantly became hooked on the series and I fell more in love each book! It has become one of my favorite series and I'm so sad to see it end, but I wouldn't have had it end any other way than it did. Legend was truly remarkable and I can't tell you how much I loved it!

I liked Reese Dumas from the moment I met her and she only made me love, admire, and respect her the more I got to know her! Reese is so strong and always trying to better herself and she only grows stronger and better as the time goes on. She's confident, brave, and every bit of a fighter as Maverick and her family. I loved all that about her, but mostly I love how sweet, kind, and genuinely good-hearted Reese is - she was definitely the perfect heroine to bring the REAL series home!

Does Ms. Evans know how to write a heart melting, completely swoon worthy hero or what?! Maverick totally made me fall in love with him and he absolutely stole my heart! He is the kind of hero that when he decides he wants something, he goes after it with relentless pursuit, he doesn't do anything half-a*sed, and he gives all he has to give and then some. Maverick is so determined, true, and loyal that I never had to worry or second guess his feelings for Reese. I loved how possessive of her he was, but I loved the way he felt about her, how he hard he was willing to fight for her and that he never gave up even when she wasn't as sure about them as he was even more. Maverick is just an amazing hero, I wholeheartedly loved him and I know that he will steal your heart just like he stole mine!

I was in a little bit of a book funk before I read Legend, I just couldn't decide on a book and nothing seemed right, but when I started reading Legend, I never wanted to stop! It held me captive, filled me with anticipation, and made me buzz with excitement. It was a beautiful, touching, utterly epic, marvelous read and I think it is my new favorite in the REAL series!

Legend is a standalone, but the first three books should be read before starting this one. It is told from Maverick and Reese's POV and they are living their happily-ever-after!

If I didn't have four kids, this would have been inhaled in one sitting.

But I do, so I couldn't. I honestly wasn't sure I wanted to read this at first. I was afraid it was an angst and emotional rollercoaster, and I was not not in the mood for that. So happy it wasn't. So happy it was what is was.

*Loved the small chapters. Normally this would have annoyed me, but it fit perfectly with the story.
*Of course loved Maverick & Reese. They were perfect. I'm not sure how they could have been better.
*I'm not sure how this story could have been better. Everything was soooooo good.

I really have nothing bad to say about this book except that it ended. It was the perfect Valentines Day read!

I read Legend in approximately four hours without stopping for one second. I needed to clean and feed my cats and, yet, I did not leave my bed and Maverick. Because it just wasn't an option. See, Legend was amazing, it grabbed me from the start, pulled me in, kept me enthralled and I didn't want to let go. Legend is a powerful, beautiful and bittersweet ending to the Real series.

I loved Maverick. So so so much. He's such an intriguing and complex character and I loved reading and discovering more about him throughout the book. Reese was pretty awesome as well, totally my kind of heroine, strong, smart, a bit shy but determined and loyal.

Reading about them as individuals was great, I loved both of them but reading about them as a couple was even better. I think Katy did a fantastic job with their relationship. I liked everything about it, the way they met, the way they were with each other at first, how they started to develop their feelings, their first kiss, the penny, the freaking penny! I have so much love for them.

What I loved most about Legend was the lack of drama. It felt good to not have a ton of drama and misunderstandings, to finally read a good and realistic book without having to endure pages and pages of confusion and frustration and unnecessary drama. Seriously, I loved it!

I also loved seeing more of Remy and Brooke and their little guy, Racer. All the secondary characters were great and I especially liked the friendship between Mav and Oz. All in all, Legend was a pretty awesome addition and ending to the series, if you're a fan of Katy Evans, you'll definitely love it. I know I did and I can't wait for more of her work, I'm in love with her writing style.

And yes, I think everyone should read this book because you all need to meet the hotness and perfection that is Maverick Cage.
