First I couldn’t go with the voice of the narrator. It was so flat. Second, the book was boring especially the lead character.

I really really love the west african elements in this book. Yinka makes frustrating choices but I love that she learns to love herself.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was the right amount of humour and real-life problems that people go through and how they're handled. Yinka is a lovable character that many can relate to, and although it's tough at times to understand why she does certain things, you are reminded that we all make mistakes and we're human.

Though fiction, it really casts a light on the real issues many people experience, from high expectations from their families, not feeling like you're good enough and dealing with prejudice.

A very fun audiobook. Def not strictly a romance, as it's described. It's about family, friends, and finding comfort/love in yourself.

Cute story but I was not a fan of all her friends & family cutting her off/judging her for acting out of character. I listened to the audiobook while out and about so I was not fully paying attention the whole time but some parts just werent it for me. The big community vibes were fun but as someone whos not religious or saving myself for marriage i just dont relate to the heroine during this book
