"Did you feel like a big man, pulling that trigger? Did that make you feel powerful? Well, let me tell you a thing or two about power! Power doesn't come from a badge or a gun. Power comes outta lying and lying big and getting the whole damn world to play along with you. Once you got everybody agreeing with what they know in their hearts ain't true, you got 'em trapped. You're the boss. You can turn reality on its head and they'll cheer you on."

Volume 4 of the graphic novel series made into a popular film a few years ago.

This issue takes a focus on Hartigan and Nancy, their past and their present, facing the sudden reappearance of the man they thought died years ago.

Each volume becomes my favorite and so far this one has now claimed the title. Miller creates such distinct and inventive characters that it’s hard not to enjoy even the bad ones.

This series continues to live up to the hype. Very clever how they all weave loosely together despite being different storylines.

Truly an impressive accomplishment to write AND illustrate all of these, I see why Frank Miller is such a legend.

I love the noir style artwork and dark storyline. Definitely planning on finishing the series.

Like all the stories in this series, this is a hard, gritty, bloody story. It is good though--damn good. This story of love and revenge is memorable and haunting. Not for kiddies or the squeamish.

Arguably, this is the most twisted and engaging story in Sin City's mythos. Hartigan, a soon to be retired cop follows his lead to uncovering a conspiracy involving the son of a wealthy magnate. The emotional suspense and the way that Miller presents the character of a true hero in a corrupted society made a big impact on me. Film version is ok but this is the definitive version of the story of That Yellow Bastard.
