Fantastic
My gosh. I absolutely LOVE everything this author writes. Her male characters are full of depth, pain, devotion , strength, and so much love. She writes her female characters with strength and conviction, while also making them soft and vulnerable. The authors ability to create such strong emotions in her readers is outstanding, and just one of the reasons she’s one of my favorite authors.
Malice and Illona are fantastic characters, whose story is heartbreaking, but joyful, interesting, entertaining, and absolutely brutal. I loved it so much! And I desperately hope Valor gets his story too.

4.5 stars. This is some quality gut wrenching sci fi angst. I felt so bad for Illona and her medic friend Febris when they were planning to sacrifice themselves to free Malice and Valor. Have to admit I did skim a few of the sex scenes (there were so many! even if they had a purpose), but was thoroughly captivated by the storyline.

There's action, violence, spicy scenes, and humor all in one novel. The story is interesting and I was able to get through the novel pretty fast but it wasn't perfect. The main protagonist, she can be quite blind sometimes and caused unnecessary drama. Not my favorite character to read about. Another issue I had was the repetitiveness of the writing. Other than that, I enjoyed reading the novel and I'll be looking forward to reading about Valor.

Some dark subject matter covered, so tense and emotional beginnings but was well written, engaging and had a positive ending with my prerequisite of a HEA.
