4/5 estrellas.

It is Poe, but still I'd say quite strange - a love/horror story that ends with... teeth!

Well, this is the first time that I didn't get what Edgar Poe wanted to say.
Let me start with the good things first. I loved the gothic style in this short tale and it made things darker, creeper and suspenseful.
However, I didn't quite catch what the author wants to say, I found myself struggling to come out with hidden meanings as I always do with Edgar's readings.
Another point that made things different is how the narrator is aware of his condition and his mental illness. A rationale mad man! that didn't sound right to me. I prefer the other stories and tales where the narrator is completely mad but still lives normally as if nothing ever happened.
I guess I will try to re-read this another time, maybe then I can get my mind wrapped up about the whole story and I will be able to figure it out.

it took me surprisingly long to get into this story considering its short length, and even after i was finished i was still pretty confused. i read some more about it and i have to admit that i think it was quite well-written and intriguing, even if the storytelling feels a bit foggy due to its unreliable narrator. i liked the teeth.
