I mean… it’s a romance book. Plot was predictable and LOTS of unrealistic moments. But some parts were quite funny and I appreciated the science references since I have the displeasure of studying chem and bio in high school rn :/ You can’t really judge these books with the same metrics you might use to analyze classical literature, but if only these characters had ONE GODDAMN OUNCE of introspective skills…

Ali Hazelwood's writing really meshed well with my tastes. I was really hesitant to pick up this book because I thought the plot was super strange. After seeing dozens of amazing reviews, I caved and immediately dove into this book. It really exceeded all of my expectations. Like I said, Hazelwood's writing really worked well for me, and I really enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters, Olive and Dr. Carlsen. Some moments had me screaming (literally) at the book, and I could not put it down. I really wish we got some of Adam's perspective because I really wish I knew what was going on in his head. Love on the Brain comes out in late 2022... I will be patiently waiting until then.

there's something about this book that had me swooning. I LIKED IT SM !!!

it wasn't a book that i wanted to read at that moment. in fact, it was the only book i found interesting at the book shop. i'm a mood reader, so i only read books i actually want to read. however, i ended up enjoying this book more than i thought i would do! i didn't know how much i needed a book with barely any spice

at first, i was a little bit bored, but i ended up being hooked on it. it happened the same at the end of the book. perhaps it was the tom thing or that it happened so fast that got me a little bit unfocused

i must say, olive was a little annoying. the lack of communication on her part was getting on my nerves. i admire adam for being so patient with her

AND SPEAKING OF ADAM… he was the sweetest book boyfriend so far! i want an adam carlsen in my life

I liked this book! The banter between the characters was hilarious and I loved it! I think that there was something missing in Olives character, I just can't pint point exactly what just a feeling. I do recommend this Romcom!!!

I’m truly conflicted because I got right into this book and the pacing was unbelievably amazing. I could not put this book down. However, the one thing that revoked this book from being my all time favorite was The Scene. If you’ve read this book before you’d know what I’m talking about. It was too long (seriously 2 chapters?!?!?) and too descriptive. I think the reason I was so icked out by it was because it was just so off-brand for the general mood of the book. I was getting a cute rom-com, grumpy-meets-sunny vibe, but this part was the polar opposite of that. Even though that part was super out of pocket, it was still an absolutely amazing book. However, if you’re planning on reading this… mentally prepare yourself. 5/5!!!
