Fire and Ice
Elven Doom keeps the action rolling for Val and her crew. Buroker doesn't disappoint in this fourth book, Val is learning, quirky relationships are developing, and they're in pursuit of the villains. I love Val's physical and mental foibles and her snarky dialogue is brilliant.
Another great read.

Lindsay Buroker, the author, has put the audiobook free on her YouTube channel. Enjoy.
The spice level of this series is increasing, and there continues to be miniscule progress on the overarching plot, so I'm done with the series.
Seriously. Given Val's career choices, why isn't learning to use her elven magic and/or sword a HUGE priority for her?

They finally caught the elves ! Poor Val though…dealing with a dragon with trust issues and a bratty dragon sibling. At least she formed a bridge with her daughter!
This book was the best one yet! And I know I say this everytime, but now I really mean it. The first half of it was so good, so exciting, with all the new characters (Gondo being the best) and then the second part got slower but definitely still nice and enjoyable. I LOVE WILLARD SO MUCH! So yeah, I wish more people read these books, they're awesome.

Elven Doom is book four in the Death Before Dragons series by Lindsay Buroker.
This series does need to be read in order. In Elven Doom we’re dealing with the dark elves again and their schemes are getting bigger and deadlier.
This series is addictive, full of humor, action and adventure. In Elven Doom I was on the edge of my seat with all the suspense and unexpected twists.
Val is so much fun. I’m enjoying an older heroine. She’s smart, independent, witty, sarcastic, and strong which I like. We see her finally making friends and connecting with her family; when before she’s been a loner and keeping her distance. It was a nice development.
I also adore all the secondary characters. They add to the storyline.
The only thing that’s been bothering me along the way is the hot and cold relationship; between Zav and Val. I’m not sure what to make of their maybe romance. In Elven Doom it doesn’t take over, but the hot/cold is getting frustrating. I also didn’t like the dragons in this book. They are arrogant and don’t see that going into peoples minds is a violation. Even if you can do it, you shouldn’t.
Overall I liked Elven Doom. It has all the fun Urban Fantasy aspects I enjoy in my UF's.
Rated: 4 Stars

Ok, so it's over a year since this happened to me --> reading book 1 of a series and binge reading the rest of the books in the series.
I love Val, she is so awesome, and the writing style is sooo good, action all around and I've snorted so many times I've lost count.
Fully recommend it!
*same review on all books as I can't simply select a favorite one

Great end do the story arc
I am really enjoying this series. The story arc with the dark elves has ended, but the ending gives many avenues for us to follow. I really like that this heroine is more mature than the usual wide eyed engine and has a good knowledge of herself, strengths or weaknesses.
