I feel medium about The Atlas Six. The main characters are all unlikeable. The world-building felt thin. Once I understood what elimination meant in The Atlas Six initiation process, I almost DNF'd. I'm glad I stuck it out and trusted the author to do the right thing.

There was nothing terrible about The Atlas Six. I just didn't get caught up in it.

Tore through this, but didn’t end with quite the satisfaction I was looking for. Hoping the follow up gives some good answers to a lot of open questions.

This was a struggle. I loathed the prose. The story was character driven by a cast of abhorrent personalities. It was dry & read like a philosophical / metaphysical text. I will, however, give credit to the author trying to make rational sense of what is irrational - Magic existing in reality. So much potential, but such a disappointing bore.

I found the concept of the story and the world created by the author very intriguing, and it was interesting to read about the characters from various point of views. However, a couple parts left me a little confused; I think it could've been executed a little better if it had been studied more carefully.
But the vibes of the whole book were phe-no-me-nal. Today, coming home from school, I wished to be back in that world, and then I remembered that I'd finished the book. So yes, I might have not deeply enjoyed the story, but the vibes? Llllllloved them.
