First off, the cover is just amazing. Has to be said.

I knew I had to get this book, it was definitely a 'my kind of book' to read. It did not fail to disappoint, it's wonderful. If you are a big fan of books like 'All the Bright Places' I highly recommend this novel. It deals with loss, grief, mental health and has funny elements to it.

I thought this book dealt well with themes of mental illness and grief. There have been a few people that mentioned they didn't like one of the main characters, Vivi, but I think her extreme moods and feelings of being out of control were well portrayed.

Was she likable? Sometimes no. But then who is always likable?

I enjoyed reading this book and being able to empathise with all the characters who I thought were well written.

I have mixed feelings about this. While the writing is gorgeous, and Vivi reminded me so much of a friend, it still had this romanticized unrealistic touch to it that stayed with me. But I want to think on this more.

Such a great book! It was a different twist on a love story, as both characters go through hard times and they encounter some mental illnesses; which most books don't involve.

This book was mostly well-written but really didn’t connect with it. I didn’t like that both teenagers in the story acted much older than they were. I understand Jonah’s side of things but Vivi’s I don’t. I don’t understand what parent lets their 17-year old go around bleaching their hair blond, wearing red lipstick, and hanging out with another family that is all strangers. Especially when that child has a newly diagnosed mental disorder! I get that this is fiction but it’s also a book on how not to parent. I grew frustrated with the story and how these teens were not taken care of by their parents. I wouldn’t want my old child reading this because it’s a challenging read with dark topics. I’m glad the author tackled bipolar disorder and death of a parent in this book, but it makes it a really heavy read that needs some larger trigger warnings. 3⭐️, 1🌶, ⚠️
