This line alone is the reason I bumped my review up from two stars to three: "I, MARY DALY, AM THE SORT OF EMBARRASSING AND POSITIVELY REVOLTING HAG WHO WOULD DO SUCH AN INAPPROPRIATE ARCHAEOLOGICAL DIG, AND I AM DOING IT HERE, NOW!" For context, this quote is from 2006 when Mary was arguing against the new post-feminism trend of finding the term patriarchy embarrassing.
