Compared to the fast-moving first book, this book was dramatically slower with much more focus on character motivations than the actual plot (like the dream sequence of plays). The new direction of the series after the "world saving" reveal at the end of the first book was also not as interesting/grounded.

After reading the summary of the rest of the trilogy, I'm glad I didn't push myself to continue.

This series is odd. I enjoyed both books 1 and 2, but found them complicated, confusing, and slow reads. But I still enjoyed them.

I feel like this is a series where I would definitely get more out if a reread.

Writing and storyline is interesting. I'd recommend this to fans of the genre looking for a complex story.

Karma was routinely misrepresented as the scales of justice when really, it was a matter of eternal continuity.

Too vague, shit seems to happen but with no end, people just YAP on all the time but BARELY hang out. will i read the last one? probably, its in my local library anyway, but way to squander potential.
