I liked this more than the first book. There was more to the characters, and even if I still hate some of them, they made me feel things. There were still slower parts and at one point I was a bit confused with the timeline of things.
I wish that the author would let us figure out some things ourselves rather than telling it straight in the face very quickly (at the start where that initiation thing happened and Parisa nonstopped commented everything about Reina's feelings).
It does make me curious, however, how the book will end even if I have to be in Libby's thoughts for a bit longer.
Still a Callum girly tho, so all that matters is that.

I really don’t like the sloppy handling of time travel

I got so tired of all the unnecessary posturing between the characters in this story. Like, we get it, each of the Society Medeans are suspicious of each other and ready to be vindictive or mysterious at the drop of a hat. But for the love of god, can we not get some decently straightforward dialogue for once? Literally this book should have only been like 150 pages long. The rest of it is inflated with unbearably meandering psuedo-philosophical drivel.

I say all that, and yet somehow I still want to read the next book in the series. WTF? 😂

So much book for nothing to happen
