The set-up was so interesting and then the ending was abrupt and unsatisfying. Maybe for political reasons, but I expect for time/act restrictions.

since i had to read this for my english class, i read this really quickly but overall, i actually really liked the play because of the questions it raises in such a short time. with just 3 characters, i like the way dorfman questions things like justice, revenge and relationships (stan paulina lmfao). i also loved the ending with the mirror - the ambiguity of the play and its ending is almost satisfying and perfect as an ending. this story was genuinely engaging and i would really recommend! it was a nice read :)

*Read for university*
In a concise performance, this play explores personal trauma, historical human rights violations, the failures of a well-intentioned system, and forces the viewer to consider the validity of different kinds of justice. It's an incredible examination of the horrific human rights violations of the "banana republic" era in Latin America through personal narrative. This play aims to unsettle you and force you to reconsider your societally-instituted opinions on right and wrong, proper justice, and interpersonal relationships. I hope to see this play on stage one day!
