Richard worms his way back into Anita's life and now i get to suffer through his BS for the rest of the series. Luckily he isn't in every book moving forward. I really dont like that man.
Graphic: Violence
I'm not very far into this book, but so far it's only ok. I'm having trouble believing that this heroine who is less than "larger-than-life" is all that she claims to be -- nearly superhero to the paranormal world.

***Spoiler alert****
All I have to say is that Anita is a very lucky girl. She was already sleeping with the sexy vampire Jean Claude and in this book she finally sleeps with Richard Zeeman in this book!! Then she continues to sleep with both of them!! I can't wait for the next one I am really enjoying this series especially on audio book!!

Description:
When she chose master vampire Jean-Claude over her ex-fiancé, alpha werewolf Richard Zeeman, Anita learned that sometimes love is not enough. But though she and Richard won’t be walking down any aisles, she can’t turn her back on him when he’s arrested on a rape charge in Tennessee. Anita knows firsthand that Richard has the morals of a saint—or at least a boy scout. But his guilt or innocence is not the issue. He’s behind bars, and in five days a full moon will rise…
My Thoughts:
So this is the 8th installment in the anita blake series and i really enjoyed this one much more than burnt offerings. I read it all in one day. :)
I think because this one dealt with the werewolves more. Which is also unusual for me because i don’t normally enjoy werewolves except in this series. They are so different from what i’ve seen, so it’s refreshing. I want to keep learning more and more about them.
Blue moon is also another anita blake book that takes place in a different place which i like. It’s cool to see how anita deals with new vampires & lycanthrope packs & humans when she doesn’t have her normal police or some of her normal followers helping her out. It makes it more exciting.
I did have some issues with blue moon. The main one was the ending was a bit predictable, even though i enjoyed it. Also i felt like there was sex scenes at weird times. They didn’t fit well into the story. The last thing that i didn’t particularly liked dealt with two certain characters.
Stars: ★★★★.75

I didn’t mind that richard and anita got back together but i think richard needs to apologize to anita for all the shit he said to her. I feel like she took him back to easilyeven though she loves him.Stars: ★★★★.75
If this had been the first Anita Blake I had read, it would have been the last Anita Blake I had read. There is a plot. It is an interesting plot even. The plot, however, takes a different car than the sex that gets pushed to the fore. (Yes, I know the correct expresssion is "the plot took a back seat to the sex", but the plot is farther back than that). The main problem, however, is that in this book I found Anita to be totally unlikable (I wanted her to get hit by a Mac truck). I also think it is interesting that we are told she is going to be taught to use her newfound powers, but we never see it.
Another winner....One of my favorite series is the Meredith Gentry series by Laurell K Hamilton and I never really thought I would enjoy the Anita Blake series but I was wrong....I have grown to love the characters and the story line in general. I am very happy I finally gave Anita Blake a chance.......
