Along the way, he meets those that assist him in his quest to find his treasure, as we follow Santiago from the cities of Spain, to the Pyramids of Giza - we learn..his dream was right next to him all along. The broader message that we are all supposed to have a path designated to us from birth, designed by God resonates. While a simple story, it is a story of love, hope, and dreams. I will also say - it is extremely quotable.
