I liked the end but there were so many parts of this that were repetitive so I can’t rate this above three stars. Usually like Mariana Zapata’s books but this one was not my fav. She has much better books than this imo.

I’ve been in the mood for a good slow burn romance recently, and what better author to pick up than the Queen of Slow Burn herself? I’ve been putting this book off for a long time only because I’ve been burning through Mariana Zapata’s backlist and don’t know what I’ll do with myself once I’m caught up. I regret not picking this up sooner though, it was sooo cute! So many swoon worthy moments, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from MZ. This was the perfect friend-to-lovers slow burn sports romance. I fell in love with Zac when he was first introduced in The Wall of Winnipeg & Me and was so excited to see he’d be getting his own HEA! Bianca and Zac were so cute together, I loved how doting and supportive he was of Bianca’s dreams and her YouTube career. I’m normally obsessed with the grumpy heroes MZ usually writes, so it was nice to see her cinnamon roll heroes are great too! We also got cameos from Aiden & Vanessa (TWoWaM) and Ivan & Jasmine (From Lukov With Love) which was super fun. I don’t think this knocks any books out of my MZ Top 3 (From Lukov with Love, Kulti, and TWoWaM), but it was still a great time! Also, the audiobook had duet narration which made the experience that much better!

I am starting to realise that I don't enjoy the childhood friends-to-lover trope. Objectively, there was nothing wrong with this book, I liked the writing, I enjoyed the characters but I was not obsessed with them as much as with other Mariana Zapata books.
