If you are a fan of a dark mystery filled with self-discovery, love, and adventure, this is a book you need to try. Magic is infused every step of the way. 

I love and appreciate the fact that the themes of love, romance, and intimate relationships took a back seat for the main character.

I felt that this story was a let down in terms of the storytelling and the character development. I think that the book was way too overhyped, which led to it falling flat in my opinion. I will say that I stayed interested in the story throughout the book, but thought that it could have been a lot better.
