I really liked the beginning, but the story didnā€™t quite catch me the way rockstar romances do. The story was fine but i didnā€™t have the urgency to keep reading. I didnā€™t 100% like the ending
simply because I donā€™t think every story needs to end in a proposal. Itā€™s just too cheesy for me personally.

4.5 Stars

I recently reread 'Idol' and I really, really loved it. I enjoyed reading about Libby and her life as a recluse. Her fears were real and honest and met with her new found love for Killian. Usually I tend to find a lot of New Adult novels to be very samey but Kristen made this one very fresh for me. Killian was a character filled with remorse; a broken soul on the road to ending but finds love and forgiveness in a woman whose just as scared of life.

I loved Game on and I read the game on books countless (!) times. So I was expecting to love this series but instead it totally missed me. It therefore also hurts me to write this review but honestly the total series (except Managed) felt like a total decline in terms of writing, plot and character development. I just really felt like the author can do more than that.

Where Game on impressed with somewhat emotional mature and committed men, the male protagonists in VIP somehow felt like boys that have the emotional intelligence of highschoolers. A big miss for me was also the background of Jax. Not because of the secretory but because apparently it has led the group to talk more about their emotions - but they literally donā€™t talk about their issues and instead mock each other all the time until shit blows up. So yeah, the emotional depth in this series was really lacking for me.

I don't care about these characters. They're average and the story is average.

Idol, the story of Liberty and Killian

I loved, loved, loved this book. Read it in one day as I couldnā€™t put it down.
Some really funny writing, laughed out loud so many times and I may or may not have cried a couple of times. (Donā€™t tell anyone).
Liberty and Killianā€™s relationship journey is a must read!
I am onto the next book in the series now as I loved the secondary characters too and want to see their journey progression
