Difficult to get past MFC whining, getting mad when she doesn’t get her way then having make up sex. Even the author has the characters comment to this somewhat (they don’t say whining, they say fighting with each other). I see the MFC as a spoiled brat that acts out and pushes the MMC buttons constantly. Whereas in the first book she was a badass with sharp quips and a sharper knife. If this would have been the first book in the series I would have never picked up the second book. And I fell in LOVE with book one!! 😭😭
2⭐️ The first book was alright but this one wasn’t. I feel like I learned nothing new and the plot barely advanced.

While still well written, I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the first book, the author introduced dual pov, with nearly half the chapters from Adrian's pov which isn't something I enjoy. This book is also a lot more snut heavy.

Not at all impressed with the character development of either protagonist, and not a fan of the reincarnated past lover/heroine trope. Realized I really don’t care what happens and decided to move on. Was a Hoopla borrow (1st book was Audible Plus).
