Ehh idk what happened with the story. The plot really vanishes in this book and Adrian’s character just falls flat. His spark and their banter in the first book is essentially non-existent in this one. The book is easy enough to read, but there’s really no substance. It’s just rinse and repeat of the same thing, fighting, having sex; Isolde ignoring Adrian’s orders to not get involved, her not listening getting hurt rinse and repeat. Will I read the next book maybe, but I’d be fine with not finishing the series also.

Just like most of the reviews for this book. Isolde + Adrian, on multiple occasions, fight and than make up almost immediately . . . and rarely does anything else happen. I vaguely remember this book being left on a cliff-hanger . . . but I do not remember the exact details of the cliff hanger. R.I.P. And there's going to be a third book in this series? I don't know if I will read it.

didn't expect much but it still somehow dissapointed me. the first book felt like a guilty pleasure, this didn't bring me anything close.
