I had high expectations for this book. I have loved everything I have read by Scarlett St. Clair, but I struggled with this one. I feel like every issue was handled with sex, things never got figured out and were just looked over. I feel like this was a very unhealthy situation, that and sometimes it felt like Isolde didn't have genuine feelings for Adrian. It wasn't super believable for me. I also feel like the pacing for this book was so slow, not much happens until the very end. I did rate this as a 3-star, the idea is there but it could of been a bit better.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, however, the second one was a bit repetitive and I honestly can’t remember what happened here vs what happened in the first one. I will read the next, but it was not as entertaining as the first one.

Wow. This book took me on a JOURNEY! Queen of Myth & Monsters was a roller coaster of a book and had so many twists & turns I had no idea were coming. The ending of this book dropped me on my ass and left me to deal with it! I was so shocked that I actually gasped out loud. I was not expecting it to be over like that!
Adrian and Isolde together are a force to be reckoned with. I loved see them together and getting a glimpse into Adrian's head. They are like a wild fire together.
"The world is afraid of powerful women." There is a big theme of power in women and how men want to take it away. It's something that's been happening in our world since the start and something we continue to face. It's empowering to see Isolde handle this in this series. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Thank you to Scarlett St. Clair and her team for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was SO bad. I hate/spite read it until the end. There were really smutty scenes between Adrian and Isolde, but the lack of personality and character building made the romance a dud.

The lack of character development makes the book difficult to read

DNF at like 60% I think. I have been trying to read this book for a month and it is just too cringey. The main character is incredibly irritating and if I am supposed to be impressed
she risked her own life running into a fight she couldn't handle for "her people," I'm not. She just put everyone more at risk due to her own hubris.
Irritating.

Jesus Christ. This was terrible.

Isolde’s mood swings were back in full effect and apparently the only way Tristan knows how to deal with her is to just have sex with her. And what bland, boring sex it was.

Some absolutely ridiculous stuff (even within the context of the universe) happened and the characters just totally swept it under the rug and moved on like nothing happened. Everything that could have been a major plot point was just absolutely nothing.

These two have the chemistry of a couple forced at gunpoint.
