This book had me rethinking everything I thought I knew! So much happened! I didn’t want to put this book down! If you loved King of Battle & Blood you need to quickly pick up Queen of Myths & Monsters!
This book had everything!
Death, betrayal, war, magic, shifting, love, zombies?
Either way I am so happy I finished this book even tho I have to wait a year to read book 3! Ahhh!
Seriously though, such an amazing read!

This is such a sad sequel to a pretty decent first book. Not an interesting development in the story and their relationship is groan-worthy.

Didn’t love as much as the first one. Some character growth but really felt like our main characters were all over the place. I’m interested to see where this is going. I’m hopeful for some satisfying resolutions.

This book was not for me and it's really frustrating because I loved the first installment.
This book was so all over the place and nothing gets resolved. Adrian and Isolde do nothing but fight, and events happen with zero thought put into them... Isolde shape shifts into a creature no one is supposed to be able to shift into and NO ONE even blinks. It's only talked about twice, and has no plot involvement.
I had to stop when Isolde thinks it's a good idea to summon and contain an extremely powerful witch with two librarians who have never had any indicators of magical ability.

Some parts were 3 stars. But overall still a 2. At least the second one was more original than be first. Definitely an improvement.
Once again I love the story Scarlett gives us but I could do with less spicy. I understand that's my personal opinion and others will enjoy that and it's also how she deals with trauma. I just enjoy more story than spicy in my books.
Now, this one definitely is a build up book. It's giving us just a little bit here and there making your mind work and hold on to see what's going to happen, between the shape shifting, killing and back stabbing you understand why our blood king is the way he is.
I also wish we got more from his P.O.V. just something about Scarlett's male povs that has a spot in my heart.
I know I will absolutely read the next one because I need some answers!
